Publications for RT2014
In past years, RT conferences had a complete Conference Record (CR) and allowed all participants to publish a paper related to their accepted conference presentation to IEEE Transactions on Nuclear Science (TNS). In contrast to the CR, which publishes everything from participants as long as it relates to the presentation and follows the formatting rules, TNS is a full-value peer-reviewed publication.Due to recent changes in the IEEE publication policy, it is not possible anymore to have the same paper appearing in a CR and to be published in TNS. In order to overcome this problem for the current RT conference, the following is proposed to authors:
- If you want to publish in CR only, you should have done so following the rules on the conference website (http://rt2014.rcnp.osaka-u.ac.jp/authorinfo.html). Please confirm to Dora Merelli that your submission is final.
- If you want to publish in TNS, you need to
- submit your paper, prepared according to the formatting rules in 1. above, to arXiv, which is currently the only IEEE-agreed preprint server (cf. http://www.ieee.org/publications_standards/publications/rights/thirdpartyservers.html) (This step is not mandatory but highly recommended),
- inform Dora.Merelli@ieee.org that you want to publish in TNS, withdraw your full paper from the CR, and send her an extended abstract, in which you reference your paper in arXiv (see 2.a.)
- submit your paper within the deadline of June 16th to TNS according to the rules set out in http://rt2014.rcnp.osaka-u.ac.jp/authorinfo_tns.html.
- According to current IEEE policy, you need to adapt your arXiv entry as soon as you have the publication information of your paper in TNS (probably mid 2015).
